Can Protect Foundation, a leading NGO for breast cancer awareness and prevention, conducted a Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Camp at Ambala Military Station on March 23, 2025 to serve the families of Indian Army personnel. The initiative was led by Dr. Sumita Prabhakar and supported by a dedicated medical team that traveled from Dehradun to Haryana.
This free health camp for army families ensured that women received essential health services, early cancer detection tests, and expert consultations at no cost.
Over 200 women availed these free services. Those showing abnormal signs or early symptoms were guided for further diagnostic evaluation.
Every year, breast and cervical cancers take thousands of lives, not because they are incurable, but because they are detected too late. Through this free screening camp, Can Protect Foundation is ensuring that early detection of breast and cervical cancer becomes a priority for every Indian woman, especially those belonging to military families.
Army families make immense sacrifices for our nation. Providing healthcare access is a small step toward honoring their service. This Indian Army free health camp was a life-saving initiative that empowers women with knowledge, care, and access to early diagnosis.
Special thanks to Col. Sachin Jain, whose efforts and coordination made this awareness camp a success. We also thank our medical team—Dr. Rekha Khanna, Dr. Monika, and Sister Malti—for their dedication and service during this mission.
We are committed to organizing breast cancer awareness camps, free pap smear tests, and free breast cancer screenings in both urban and remote communities across India. Whether it’s women prisoners, rural areas, or army families, we believe every woman deserves early detection and timely treatment.
