We are happy to share this news with you that Israel has praised Can Protect Foundation’s efforts for women’s health and Breast Cancer awareness and Cervical Cancer Prevention and has also expressed its desire to work with us in the times to come.
The Embassy of Israel in India especially invited Can Protect Foundation’s Founder-President, Dr Sumita Prabhakar for a breast cancer awareness programme held by the Embassy of Israel in India at Delhi on October 14, 2021 during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Diplomats from 20 nations, as well as Dr Sumita Prabhakar, attended the event organized for the awareness of Breast Cancer. Mrs. Orly Gillon, the wife of Israel’s Ambassador and CDA Rony Yedidia Clein, delivered the opening remarks to the audience. She said, Can Protect Foundation is doing grassroots work, which is a great effort. The incidence of breast cancer in India can be lowered in the future with the availability of state-of-the-art preventive health facilities to women at health camps being organised for prevention and early detection, as well as awareness by Can Protect Foundation with the efforts of Dr Sumita Prabhakar.
Mrs. Orly Goldschmidt, an Israeli diplomat, said that a team of Israeli doctors, in collaboration with the Can Protect Foundation, will work in India to raise breast cancer awareness and early detection. A leading Israeli NGO, One in Nine working towards Breast Cancer Awareness in Israel, also took part in the programme.
Dr Sumita Prabhakar, President of Can Protect Foundation, delivered thorough information and a presentation about the Can Protect Foundation’s efforts. She described that in the health camps hosted by the Foundation during the last 6 years, advanced screening of breast and cervical issues in women has been done using world-class technologies with trained medical staff and experienced doctors.
Dr. Sumita Prabhakar delivered a lecture on Breast Cancer in India. Along with this, she also gave detailed information about the Canapp to all the diplomats. All the diplomats downloaded Canapp on their mobiles and said that they would share the same with other women.
We thank all the doctors, nurses, medical staff and volunteers associated with the Can Protect Foundation. Without your cooperation and efforts, this achievement might not have been possible.
