
Can Protect Foundation proudly participated in a Cervical Cancer and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Awareness Workshop organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad “Dron” Branch at Bhawani Balika Inter College, Dehradun. The educational programme aimed to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention, HPV infection, early diagnosis, and available treatment options among students, women, and members of the community.
The workshop was graced by Mrs. Savita Kapoor, Hon’ble MLA, Cantonment, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Mrs. Anita Joshi, Principal of Bhawani Balika Inter College, and Mr. S. S. Kothiyal, Former Inspector General and Patron of Bharat Vikas Parishad “Dron” Branch, as well as former Provincial President of Bharat Vikas Parishad.
Representing Can Protect Foundation, Dr. Rekha Khanna, volunteer and cancer awareness advocate, joined Dr. Radha Raturi in delivering informative sessions on cervical cancer and HPV. The experts emphasized the importance of vaccination, regular screening, early detection, and timely treatment in reducing the burden of cervical cancer among women.
A highly engaging question-and-answer session encouraged active participation from students and attendees. The enthusiasm shown by young participants reflected a growing awareness of women’s health issues and highlighted the importance of continued health education initiatives in schools and communities.
