Can Protect Foundation organized Health talk on ‘Adolescent Health & Hygiene’

Can Protect Foundation organized an awareness session on, ‘Adolescent Health & Hygiene’ for the girls of Rajkiya Adarsh Intermediate College, Kishanpur Dehradun on February 7 2019.

Dr Rekha Khanna, informed the girls about Menstrual hygiene, menstrual cycle vs myths & misconceptions, personal hygiene and common health problems such as anemia, protein and calcium deficiency. World Cancer Day – 1600 People run to Raise Awareness of Cancer, Free Screening Camp organized for Prevention

To mark World Cancer Day and in order to raise the awareness of cancer in the country, various programs were organized for cancer prevention and early detection in Uttrakhand and Punjab by the Can Protect Foundation.

Can Protect Foundation launches campaign to raise awareness about cervical cancer

Can Protect Foundation has launched a campaign to raise awareness and prevention of cervical cancer. The second largest cause of cancer death in Indian women at age 15 to 44 is cervical cancer.

The Foundation’s goal is to reduce cervical cancer morbidity and mortality through early detection, public and, preventive education and encourage girls and women to obtain regular screening & vaccination. Through the campaign, women can do Pap Smear test with 50% discount at our screening center in CMI Dehradun, we will sponsor 50% amount of pap smear.

Free breast prevention & women’s health camp organized in Rishikesh, 215 women checked

Can Protect Foundation organized a Free Women’s Health and Breast Checkup Camp in Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib Rishikesh on January 7, 2019. Dr. Sumita Prabhakar along with 7 staff members undertook the women’s health, breast cancer awareness, and checkup procedure.

The women were given information about breast and cervical cancer, its relevant screening process and Breast Self Examination procedure in Hindi and English language. A total of 215 women were tested for breast diseases. 23 women were identified with a problem and referred for further investigation.

Free breast checkup and thermo mammography camp was jointly organised by Can Protect Foundation and Axis Connect for the employees and clients of Axis Bank on 7th and 8th December in Dehradun.

Pink October: 4th Mega Breast Cancer Screening and Awareness Camp organized for Two Days in Dehradun

In continuation to the Breast Cancer Awareness month October Campaign and after organizing fifteen free breast screening and awareness camps throughout the month, we have organized 4th mega breast cancer screening camp for two days for 48 hrs at Aggrawal Dharamsala in Dehradun on 28th and 29th October. 657 women were checked for breast diseases by the team of doctors in two days.
